Location,location, location, The Southside Lodge is the closest hostel to the lifts in Whistler. If being first on the lift on a big Powder day, and saving money is important to you, consider staying at the Southside Lodge this winter. The Southside Lodge is Whistlers original hotel and a local landmark. The Southside Lodge is located in the heart of Whistler Creek at the corner of Hwy 99 and Lake Placid Rd (2102), across the street from the Husky gas station and 200 meters from the Whistler Creekside Gondola.
The Southside Lodge was recently renovated. The lodge has 6 rooms that sleep 4-6 people. Each room has 2 bunks, washroom/shower, Cable TV, VCR, Mini fridge and locker. There is a fully stocked communal kitchen and a free local phone upstairs. We have men's, women's and mixed dorms and depending on availability, we also offer private rooms.
